Six New Facilitators - and a First for Bricks for Social Good

2026-07-01 13:38 Certification Cohorts

The bricks are back in the boxes. The facilitators are just getting started.

On 16–17 June 2026, six professionals successfully completed the LEGO® Serious Play® Foundational Facilitator Certification with Smart Minds at JAMBA - Hub of Opportunities in Sofia.
Two intensive days of building, facilitating, testing, reflecting and learning by doing prepared them to design and facilitate LEGO® Serious Play® workshops around questions related to strategy, teams and individual development.
Because this method is not learned by watching.
You have to practise it.

Six professionals. Different paths. One new capability.

The third Smart Minds cohort brought together professionals with experience across training and leadership development, HR and organisational development, talent management, entrepreneurship, innovation, culture and the creative industries.
That diversity matters.
LEGO® Serious Play® is not tied to one profession or one organisational challenge. Its value comes from knowing how to design the process around the question that needs to be explored.
All six participants successfully completed the certification.

A first for Bricks for Social Good

This cohort also marked an important milestone for Bricks for Social Good, Smart Minds’ scholarship programme supporting the development of young professionals.
Bozhina Dimitrova and Petar Neftelimov became the first two young professionals to complete the certification through the programme.
For both of them, the two days marked a transition from scholarship recipients to certified LEGO® Serious Play® facilitators and members of the Smart Minds facilitator community.

Certification is only the beginning

The Foundational Facilitator Certification develops the knowledge and practical capability to structure and facilitate LEGO® Serious Play® workshops ranging from shorter interventions to full-day sessions.
But completing the training is not the end of the journey.
Certified facilitators also become part of the local Smart Minds facilitator community, created to encourage continued practice, collaboration, knowledge exchange and professional development.
Smart Minds is a certified training centre of IntHRface for Bulgaria and Romania. The certification is based on the contemporary development of LEGO® Serious Play® by IntHRface, Denmark, together with Johan Roos, co-author of the method.
