We Love Digi is transitioning from start-up to scale-up.
As the organisation grows, the management team recognised the need to align people around the changes required to support sustainable growth.
The objective was not simply to discuss how to grow faster.
It was to bring together different perspectives, identify common themes and create a shared understanding of what scaling means for the organisation - and where attention should be focused as it matures.
The Smart Minds Approach
Smart Minds invested time in understanding both the business context and the organisational challenges behind the request.
Rather than designing a generic team-building activity, we created a structured four-hour workshop using LEGO® Serious Play®.
The process moved from individual reflection to collective sense-making. Participants explored the impact of growth on their own work, built shared models of how the organisation operates during the transition and examined the role of processes, AI and team connectivity.
Working in independent groups allowed different perspectives to emerge before being brought together.
Several themes appeared repeatedly across the models - including stronger operational foundations, clearer processes, better cross-team collaboration and a practical approach to AI adoption.
Because these patterns emerged independently, they provided a valuable indication that the topics reflected genuine organisational priorities rather than management assumptions alone.
The workshop was followed by a structured Smart Minds synthesis, clearly distinguishing participants’ conclusions from facilitator observations and questions for further management discussion.
The Outcomes
One of the strongest outcomes was greater clarity.
The different models and conversations came together into a coherent picture of the organisation - highlighting both strengths and areas requiring further attention.
Several priorities emerged:
stronger organisational resilience;
processes that create clarity without unnecessary complexity;
stronger cross-functional collaboration and communication;
practical applications of AI linked to real organisational value;
enough flexibility to adapt as the organisation continues to grow.
The process also surfaced important tensions for the next stage of development: speed versus resilience, standardisation versus flexibility, stronger connectivity versus unnecessary coordination, and internal improvement versus visible client value.
The final documentation transformed these discussions into practical input for future planning rather than simply recording what had happened during the workshop.
The Impact
The greatest value was not simply the workshop itself.
It came from the combination of facilitation, methodology and structured synthesis afterwards.
The process confirmed some assumptions, challenged others and turned multiple individual perspectives into a shared picture that management could continue using after the workshop.
“Smart Minds helped us move from many individual opinions to one shared organisational picture.”
The client also highlighted the value of translating qualitative conversations into clear strategic insights and actionable management recommendations while preserving the participants’ own voice.
The distinction between participant conclusions and facilitator analysis made the resulting output particularly credible and useful for leadership.
As the client reflected:
“The methodology creates engagement during the workshop, but the real long-term value comes from the clarity and actionable insights that remain afterwards.”
The result was not simply an engaging workshop.
It was a clearer and more structured view of what the next stage of sustainable growth requires - and a practical foundation for the conversations and decisions that follow.
